Job description

Designing Mechanical Systems: Designing and developing mechanical systems, components, and products using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and engineering principles to meet functional requirements, performance specifications, and safety standards. Analyzing Mechanical Systems: Analyzing the performance, efficiency, and reliability of mechanical systems through computer simulations, mathematical modeling, and engineering calculations to identify design improvements and optimization opportunities. Prototype Development: Building and testing prototypes or proof-of-concept models to validate design concepts, evaluate performance, and identify potential issues or areas for refinement before full-scale production. Material Selection and Testing: Selecting appropriate materials for mechanical components based on mechanical properties, durability, cost-effectiveness, and environmental considerations, and conducting material testing and analysis to ensure suitability for intended applications. Mechanical Testing and Validation: Conducting mechanical testing, performance testing, and validation testing of components and systems to verify compliance with design specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Manufacturing Processes: Understanding manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, forging, and additive manufacturing (3D printing), and collaborating with manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and quality control in production. Quality Assurance and Control: Implementing quality assurance measures and quality control processes to ensure that mechanical components and products meet established standards for reliability, durability, and performance. Project Management: Planning, coordinating, and managing engineering projects from conception to completion, including defining project scope, setting timelines and milestones, allocating resources, and monitoring progress to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery. Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Identifying technical problems, root causes, and performance issues in mechanical systems, and implementing effective solutions, modifications, or design changes to resolve issues and improve performance. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers, and manufacturing engineers, to integrate mechanical systems with other subsystems and ensure overall system functionality and compatibility. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, codes, standards, and industry guidelines governing mechanical engineering practices, product safety, and environmental sustainability. Communication Skills: Communicating technical concepts, design specifications, and project updates effectively to colleagues, stakeholders, and clients through written reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
