Job description

Curriculum Development: Designing and planning math lessons, activities, and assessments that align with curriculum standards and learning objectives. Developing instructional materials and resources to engage students and facilitate conceptual understanding. Subject Instruction: Teaching a variety of mathematical topics, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, and probability. Providing instruction in mathematical concepts, procedures, and applications to help students build a solid foundation in math. Problem Solving: Encouraging students to solve mathematical problems independently and collaboratively. Presenting real-world problems, puzzles, and challenges that require critical thinking, logical reasoning, and creative problem-solving strategies. Mathematical Thinking: Cultivating mathematical thinking skills, such as abstraction, pattern recognition, and mathematical reasoning. Engaging students in mathematical investigations, conjectures, and proofs to deepen their understanding of mathematical concepts. Differentiated Instruction: Differentiating instruction to accommodate students' diverse learning needs, abilities, and interests. Providing enrichment activities for advanced learners and additional support for struggling students to ensure all students can access and succeed in math. Technology Integration: Integrating technology tools and resources, such as calculators, interactive whiteboards, educational software, and online resources, to enhance math instruction. Using technology to visualize mathematical concepts, conduct simulations, and facilitate interactive learning experiences. Mathematical Discourse: Facilitating mathematical discourse and communication in the classroom. Encouraging students to explain their thinking, justify their solutions, and engage in mathematical discussions with peers to deepen understanding and promote learning. Assessment and Feedback: Assessing student learning and progress through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods, such as quizzes, tests, projects, and problem sets. Providing timely and constructive feedback to students to support their growth and improvement in math.
