Job description

Curriculum development: Planning and designing comprehensive lesson plans, activities, and assessments that cover a range of mathematical topics and align with curriculum standards and learning objectives. Classroom instruction: Delivering engaging and interactive lessons that explore mathematical concepts such as arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and statistics, using a variety of instructional methods such as lectures, demonstrations, hands-on activities, and technology-based tools. Conceptual understanding: Helping students develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and procedures, and guiding them in making connections between different mathematical ideas and real-world applications. Problem-solving skills: Teaching students problem-solving strategies, techniques, and heuristics, and providing opportunities for them to apply these skills to solve mathematical problems of varying complexity. Differentiated instruction: Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students, including providing additional support for struggling learners and enrichment opportunities for advanced students. Mathematical reasoning: Encouraging students to think critically, reason logically, and justify their mathematical solutions and conclusions using mathematical principles and evidence. Mathematical communication: Promoting effective communication skills in mathematics, including the ability to explain mathematical concepts, articulate problem-solving strategies, and interpret mathematical representations such as graphs, tables, and equations. Technology integration: Integrating technology tools and resources into math instruction, such as graphing calculators, interactive whiteboards, educational software, and online resources, to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. Assessment and evaluation: Designing and implementing assessments, quizzes, tests, and projects to measure students' understanding and mastery of mathematical concepts and skills, and providing timely and constructive feedback to support their learning and growth.
