Job description

Curriculum Development: Plan and develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and activities aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives for teaching Malayalam language and literature. Language Instruction: Teach students to read, write, speak, and understand the Malayalam language effectively. Provide instruction in grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and sentence structure to help students develop proficiency in all language skills. Literature Instruction: Introduce students to Malayalam literature, including poetry, prose, drama, and other literary forms. Explore works by renowned Malayalam authors and poets, as well as traditional and contemporary literature. Cultural Education: Educate students about the culture, history, and traditions of Kerala and the Malayalam-speaking community. Introduce students to Kerala's art, music, dance, cuisine, festivals, and customs to foster cultural awareness and appreciation. Writing Practice: Guide students in writing compositions, essays, stories, and other creative and expository texts in Malayalam. Teach writing strategies, techniques, and conventions to help students express their ideas clearly and effectively. Reading Comprehension: Develop students' reading comprehension skills by providing opportunities for reading and analyzing a variety of Malayalam texts, including literary works, newspapers, magazines, and online resources. Listening and Speaking: Engage students in listening and speaking activities to improve their oral communication skills in Malayalam. Facilitate discussions, debates, role-plays, and presentations to encourage active participation and interaction in the language. Assessment and Evaluation: Assess student learning through a variety of assessment methods, such as quizzes, tests, essays, projects, and oral presentations. Provide feedback to students on their language skills and monitor their progress over time.
