Job description

Installation: Installing new elevators and escalators in buildings under construction or undergoing renovation. This includes assembling components, wiring electrical systems, and testing equipment to ensure proper functioning. Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on elevators and escalators to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. This includes lubricating moving parts, adjusting controls, and replacing worn-out components. Repairs: Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with elevators and escalators. Repairing or replacing faulty components, such as motors, doors, cables, and control systems, to restore functionality. Safety Inspections: Conducting safety inspections and tests to comply with regulatory standards and ensure elevator and escalator safety. Performing load tests, emergency stop tests, and other safety checks as required. Emergency Response: Responding to service calls for elevator breakdowns or malfunctions. Identifying the cause of the problem and performing immediate repairs to minimize downtime and restore service. Upgrades and Modernization: Upgrading older elevator systems with new components, controls, and safety features to improve performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with current codes and standards. Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and parts inventory. Completing service reports and providing documentation to building owners or managers. Customer Service: Interacting with building owners, property managers, and occupants to address concerns, provide technical support, and ensure customer satisfaction with elevator and escalator performance. Compliance and Regulations: Adhering to local, state, and national regulations, codes, and safety standards related to elevator and escalator installation, maintenance, and repair. Training and Development: Staying updated with advancements in elevator technology, safety practices, and industry regulations through ongoing training and professional development programs.
