Job description

Installation: Installing new elevators, escalators, and lift systems according to blueprints, specifications, and safety standards. This involves assembling and connecting various mechanical, electrical, and electronic components, such as motors, cables, pulleys, control panels, and safety devices. Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance checks and inspections on elevator systems to ensure they operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This includes lubricating moving parts, adjusting tension in cables, testing safety features, and replacing worn or damaged components as needed. Repair: Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems with elevators and escalators to identify the root cause of malfunctions and implementing appropriate repairs. This may involve repairing or replacing motors, switches, sensors, control boards, or other faulty components. Modernization: Upgrading and modernizing older elevator systems to improve performance, reliability, and energy efficiency. This may involve installing new control systems, upgrading safety features, replacing outdated components with modern equivalents, and implementing new technologies. Emergency Response: Responding to emergency calls and service requests to address elevator breakdowns, entrapments, or other urgent issues. Lift technicians must be available to provide prompt and effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure passenger safety. Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards for elevator installation, maintenance, and operation. Lift technicians must follow proper safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and liability issues.
