Job description

Installation: Installing new elevator systems or modernizing existing ones according to specifications and blueprints. This includes assembling components, wiring electrical systems, and testing functionality. Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance checks and inspections to ensure elevators operate safely and efficiently. Lubricating moving parts, adjusting controls, and replacing worn-out components to prevent breakdowns. Repair: Diagnosing and troubleshooting elevator malfunctions or breakdowns. Identifying faulty components, repairing or replacing parts, and testing systems to restore functionality and safety. Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols, codes, and regulations specific to elevator installation and maintenance. Conducting safety tests, inspections, and certifications to ensure compliance with standards. Technical Skills: Possessing a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems related to elevators and escalators. Using specialized tools and equipment for installation, maintenance, and repair tasks. Blueprint Reading: Interpreting and following technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to understand elevator system layouts, wiring diagrams, and component specifications. Emergency Response: Responding promptly to emergency service calls for elevator entrapments, malfunctions, or safety incidents. Implementing emergency procedures to safely evacuate passengers if necessary. Customer Service: Interacting professionally with building owners, property managers, and occupants. Providing explanations of work performed, answering questions, and addressing concerns regarding elevator operations. Teamwork: Collaborating with other lift technicians, engineers, and contractors to coordinate installation projects or resolve complex issues. Communicating effectively and contributing to team success. Problem Solving: Analyzing elevator system problems, identifying root causes, and devising effective solutions.
