Job description

Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Assess laptop hardware and software issues by conducting diagnostic tests, analyzing error messages, and troubleshooting problems reported by users. Hardware Repair: Repair or replace defective laptop components such as screens, keyboards, batteries, motherboards, RAM, hard drives, and ports. Use tools and equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble laptops safely and efficiently. Software Troubleshooting and Repair: Identify and resolve software issues such as operating system errors, driver conflicts, malware infections, and software glitches. Perform software updates, patches, and reinstallations as needed. Data Recovery: Recover data from damaged or corrupted hard drives, memory cards, or storage devices. Use data recovery software or techniques to retrieve lost or inaccessible files and folders. Virus and Malware Removal: Scan laptops for viruses, spyware, adware, and other malware infections. Remove malware and malicious software using antivirus tools, malware removal utilities, and manual cleaning methods. Hardware Upgrades and Maintenance: Perform hardware upgrades such as RAM upgrades, hard drive replacements, and SSD installations to improve laptop performance and functionality. Clean and maintain laptops to prevent overheating and hardware failures. Peripheral Configuration: Configure and troubleshoot peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, external hard drives, and USB devices connected to laptops. Install drivers, configure settings, and resolve compatibility issues as needed. Customer Service and Support: Provide technical support and assistance to customers or end-users experiencing laptop issues. Communicate effectively, listen to users' concerns, and provide clear instructions or explanations regarding repairs or solutions. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of laptop repairs, service tickets, and customer interactions. Document repair procedures, parts used, and diagnostic findings for future reference and tracking. Quality Assurance: Ensure that repaired laptops meet quality standards and performance specifications. Test repaired laptops thoroughly to verify functionality, stability, and reliability before returning them to customers. Adherence to Safety Guidelines: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling laptops, tools, and equipment. Follow proper electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions and safety procedures to prevent damage to sensitive components. Continuous Learning and Skill Development: Stay updated on the latest laptop models, technologies, and repair techniques. Pursue certifications, attend training sessions, and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Inventory Management: Manage inventory of laptop parts, components, and repair tools. Order supplies, replenish stock, and track inventory levels to ensure availability of necessary resources for repairs. Problem-Solving Abilities: Analyze complex laptop issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions or workarounds. Think critically, troubleshoot creatively, and adapt to new challenges as they arise.
