Job description

Water Quality Testing: Conduct regular testing of water quality in swimming pools, hot tubs, and other recreational water facilities to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Monitor pH levels, chlorine levels, and bacterial contamination to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for guests. Food Safety Testing: Perform food safety inspections and testing in resort kitchens and dining facilities. Collect samples of food and beverages for analysis, checking for microbial contamination, chemical residues, and other potential hazards. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines. Environmental Monitoring: Monitor environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and air quality in resort facilities. Conduct periodic assessments to identify potential issues related to indoor air quality, ventilation, and environmental hazards. Recommend corrective actions to maintain a healthy and comfortable environment for guests and staff. Pest Control Management: Implement pest control measures to prevent and manage infestations of pests such as insects, rodents, and birds in resort buildings and outdoor areas. Conduct inspections, set traps, and apply pesticides as needed while adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Waste Management: Oversee waste management practices within the resort, including segregation, storage, and disposal of solid and hazardous waste. Ensure compliance with waste management regulations and environmental standards to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability. Equipment Calibration and Maintenance: Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation used for testing and analysis. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure equipment accuracy and reliability. Coordinate repairs and servicing with external vendors as needed. Data Management and Reporting: Record and maintain accurate records of testing results, observations, and corrective actions taken. Prepare reports and documentation summarizing laboratory findings and recommendations for management review and regulatory compliance. Training and Education: Provide training and guidance to resort staff on topics related to health, safety, and environmental management. Educate employees on proper procedures for handling chemicals, waste, and other hazardous materials, as well as best practices for maintaining a clean and healthy environment. Emergency Response: Participate in emergency response and preparedness activities, including training exercises and drills. Assist with emergency response efforts in the event of incidents such as chemical spills, fires, or natural disasters, following established protocols and procedures. Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to health, safety, and environmental management. Ensure that resort operations are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and implement corrective actions as needed to address deficiencies.
