Job description

Sample Collection and Preparation: Collecting samples, specimens, or materials for analysis, following established protocols and procedures, and preparing them for testing or experimentation. Laboratory Testing: Performing a wide range of laboratory tests and experiments, including chemical, biological, microbiological, hematological, or immunological assays, using specialized equipment and techniques. Data Recording and Analysis: Recording and documenting test results, observations, and experimental data accurately and comprehensively, and analyzing data to draw conclusions or support research findings. Quality Control and Assurance: Conducting quality control checks, calibrations, and validations of laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure accuracy, precision, and reliability of test results. Instrumentation and Equipment Maintenance: Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory instruments, equipment, and machinery, and performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed. Safety and Compliance: Adhering to laboratory safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to prevent accidents, injuries, or exposure to hazardous materials, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards. Inventory Management: Managing laboratory supplies, chemicals, reagents, and consumables by ordering, stocking, and organizing inventory to ensure availability and proper storage conditions. Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate and detailed records of laboratory activities, procedures, and findings, and preparing reports, summaries, or presentations for internal use or external stakeholders. Research Support: Providing support to researchers, scientists, or medical professionals by conducting experiments, gathering data, and assisting with data analysis or interpretation as part of research projects or clinical trials. Sample Tracking and Chain of Custody: Tracking samples throughout the testing process, maintaining chain of custody documentation, and ensuring the integrity and traceability of sample handling and analysis. Communication and Collaboration: Communicating effectively with laboratory staff, colleagues, and supervisors to coordinate workflow, share information, and troubleshoot issues, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams as needed. Continuing Education: Staying updated on advancements in laboratory techniques, methodologies, and technologies through professional development opportunities, training programs, and participation in scientific conferences or workshops.
