Job description

Sample Collection and Handling: Collecting samples, specimens, or materials for analysis according to standard procedures. Ensuring proper labeling, storage, and transportation of samples to maintain integrity and traceability. Laboratory Testing: Performing a variety of laboratory tests and experiments using specialized equipment, instruments, and techniques. Following standard protocols and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results. Data Recording and Analysis: Recording observations, measurements, and experimental data accurately and comprehensively. Analyzing data using software tools or manual calculations to draw conclusions and interpret results. Instrument Maintenance and Calibration: Operating, maintaining, and calibrating laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure accuracy, precision, and reliability. Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting to keep equipment in optimal condition. Quality Assurance and Control: Adhering to quality assurance and quality control protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements. Participating in proficiency testing and quality assurance programs to monitor and improve laboratory performance. Safety and Compliance: Following safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Handling hazardous materials, chemicals, and biohazardous samples according to safety regulations and best practices. Documentation and Reporting: Documenting procedures, results, and findings in laboratory notebooks, reports, or electronic databases. Communicating findings to supervisors, researchers, or healthcare professionals through written reports or oral presentations. Inventory Management: Monitoring and managing laboratory supplies, reagents, and consumables to ensure adequate stock levels. Ordering and restocking supplies as needed to support ongoing laboratory activities. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving technical issues, anomalies, or discrepancies in experimental results. Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions or procedural errors to ensure accurate and reliable testing. Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborating with colleagues, scientists, and healthcare professionals to plan and execute experiments, share knowledge and expertise, and achieve research objectives.
