Job description

Food preparation: Assisting with the preparation of ingredients, such as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, and portioning ingredients for recipes. Dishwashing: Cleaning dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment by hand or using dishwashers, and ensuring they are properly sanitized and stored. Kitchen cleaning: Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen by sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down countertops and surfaces, and disposing of trash and recycling. Assisting chefs and cooks: Supporting chefs and cooks in various tasks such as retrieving ingredients, assembling dishes, and garnishing plates. Stocking and restocking: Keeping kitchen supplies, ingredients, and utensils stocked and organized, and notifying management when items need to be replenished. Following food safety standards: Adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper handwashing, wearing appropriate protective gear, and storing food at safe temperatures. Basic food handling: Handling and storing food items properly to prevent contamination and spoilage, and following recipes and instructions accurately. Kitchen maintenance: Reporting any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to management, and assisting with basic maintenance tasks as needed. Teamwork: Working collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely preparation of meals. Adaptability: Being willing to take on various tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the overall functioning of the kitchen.
