Dishwashing and Cleaning: One of the primary duties of kitchen helpers is to wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans by hand or using commercial dishwashers. They also clean kitchen equipment, countertops, floors, and other surfaces to maintain a hygienic and organized work environment. Stocking and Storing Supplies: Kitchen helpers assist in receiving, unpacking, and storing food and kitchen supplies such as groceries, produce, meats, and dry goods. They ensure that ingredients are properly labeled, dated, and stored at the correct temperature to prevent spoilage or contamination. Assisting Cooks and Chefs: Kitchen helpers support cooks and chefs during busy periods by fetching ingredients, utensils, and equipment as needed. They may also help in plating dishes, garnishing food, or assembling ingredients for recipes. Cleaning and Maintaining Kitchen Equipment: They help in cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and refrigerators to ensure they are in good working condition.
