Keep work surfaces clean and sanitized, and ensure proper storage of food items. Stock Management: Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of food and kitchen supplies. Notify supervisors when supplies are running low and help with receiving and storing deliveries. Assisting Cooks and Chefs: Support cooks and chefs during busy periods by fetching ingredients, following recipes, and performing basic cooking tasks under supervision. Food Service: Assist with serving food to employees or customers in the cafeteria or dining area. Help set up serving stations, replenish food items, and maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area. Compliance with Health and Safety Standards: Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards to ensure the safety and well-being of kitchen staff and customers. Follow proper procedures for handling, storing, and disposing of food items. Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations in the kitchen. Communicate any issues or concerns to supervisors in a timely manner. Customer Service: Provide friendly and courteous service to employees or customers who visit the cafeteria or dining area.
