Job description

Food Preparation: Assisting in food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping ingredients. Preparing basic components of dishes under the direction of chefs or cooks. Cleaning and Sanitizing: Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen. Cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, workstations, and ensuring proper storage of food items to prevent contamination. Dishwashing: Washing dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils by hand or using dishwashing machines. Ensuring all items are cleaned thoroughly and sanitized before reuse. Stocking and Inventory: Assisting with stocking and storing food supplies, ingredients, and kitchen inventory. Rotating stock and ensuring freshness of perishable items. Assistance During Service: Supporting chefs and cooks during meal services by fetching ingredients, utensils, or other items as needed. Ensuring timely delivery of prepared food items to the serving areas. Food Safety Compliance: Adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper handling of food products, storage temperatures, and sanitation practices. Following kitchen safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries. Trash Removal: Collecting and disposing of kitchen garbage and recycling materials in accordance with waste management guidelines. Assisting with Cleaning Tasks: Assisting with general kitchen cleaning tasks such as mopping floors, wiping countertops, and maintaining a tidy kitchen environment. Team Collaboration: Working collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks. Following instructions from supervisors and communicating effectively within the kitchen team. Adaptability and Flexibility: Being flexible and willing to assist with various tasks as assigned, including supporting different stations or roles within the kitchen based on operational needs. Safety and Hygiene Awareness: Maintaining personal hygiene and adhering to uniform standards. Following safety procedures related to handling kitchen equipment and working in a busy kitchen environment.
