Food Preparation Assistance: Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, peeling potatoes, and preparing ingredients for cooking. Follow recipes and portion sizes accurately to maintain consistency in food quality. Dishwashing and Cleaning: Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans by hand or using dishwashing equipment. Ensure that dishes are cleaned, sanitized, and stored properly. Clean kitchen equipment, countertops, and work areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards. Stocking and Organizing: Stock ingredients, supplies, and equipment in designated storage areas. Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors when supplies need to be replenished. Organize storage areas to maximize efficiency and accessibility. Assisting with Kitchen Operations: Assist with various kitchen tasks as needed, such as setting up workstations, assembling ingredients, and garnishing dishes. Follow instructions from kitchen staff and work collaboratively as part of a team. Food Service Support: Assist with food service activities such as plating dishes, serving food to customers, and replenishing buffet stations. Ensure that food is presented attractively and served at the correct temperature. Cleaning and Sanitization: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces according to food safety standards and regulations. Follow proper sanitation procedures to prevent cross-contamination and foodborne illnesses. Trash Removal: Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in designated areas. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen and dining areas by removing trash regularly throughout the day. Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation practices, and personal hygiene. Wear appropriate protective clothing, such as aprons and gloves, when handling food. Following Instructions: Follow instructions and guidelines provided by kitchen supervisors, chefs, or managers. Communicate any concerns or issues promptly and seek clarification if instructions are unclear. Customer Service: Provide friendly and courteous service to customers and guests. Respond to customer inquiries, requests, and feedback in a professional manner. Assist with customer orders and ensure that customer satisfaction is prioritized. Teamwork: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure efficient operations and smooth workflow.
