Dishwashing: Kitchen helpers are responsible for washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment used during food preparation and service. They operate dishwashing machines or wash dishes by hand, ensuring they are cleaned and sanitized properly. Cleaning and Sanitizing: Kitchen helpers maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen by wiping down countertops, tables, and equipment, sweeping and mopping floors, and emptying trash bins. They follow food safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a hygienic environment. Stocking and Restocking: Kitchen helpers replenish supplies of food ingredients, condiments, spices, and other kitchen essentials as needed. They organize storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers to ensure ingredients are properly labeled, rotated, and stored at the correct temperatures. Assisting Cooks and Chefs: Kitchen helpers assist cooks and chefs with various tasks during busy periods, such as fetching ingredients, monitoring cooking times, and assembling ingredients for dishes. They may also help plate dishes and garnish them before they are served to customers. Kitchen Equipment Maintenance: Kitchen helpers assist with the maintenance and cleaning of kitchen equipment, including stovetops, grills, ovens, fryers, and slicers.
