Job description

Food Preparation: Assisting with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients under the supervision of the chef or cooks. Dishwashing: Washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment by hand or using industrial dishwashers, ensuring they are cleaned and sanitized properly for reuse. Cleaning and Sanitizing: Keeping the kitchen area clean and sanitized at all times, including countertops, equipment, floors, and storage areas, following established cleaning protocols. Kitchen Maintenance: Assisting with the maintenance and organization of kitchen equipment, appliances, and utensils, including routine cleaning, storage, and minor repairs as needed. Stocking Supplies: Restocking kitchen supplies such as ingredients, condiments, spices, paper towels, and cleaning supplies, ensuring that sufficient quantities are available for daily operations. Assisting Cooks and Chefs: Supporting cooks and chefs during food preparation and service by fetching ingredients, assembling equipment, and following instructions to ensure timely and efficient operations. Trash Disposal: Emptying trash bins and disposing of kitchen waste properly, following waste management and recycling guidelines to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards. Assisting with Food Service: Helping with food service tasks such as plating dishes, garnishing plates, and delivering food to designated areas within the establishment, especially during peak hours. Following Health and Safety Guidelines: Adhering to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and temperature control procedures, to prevent foodborne illnesses and ensure compliance with sanitation standards. Teamwork and Communication: Collaborating with kitchen staff and communicating effectively to ensure smooth coordination and workflow during busy periods and special events. Learning and Development: Continuously learning and improving kitchen skills and techniques through on-the-job training, mentorship, and feedback from supervisors. Customer Satisfaction: Contributing to a positive dining experience for customers by maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment and supporting kitchen staff in delivering high-quality food and service.
