Job description

Installation: Installing and setting up new kitchen equipment according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. This includes cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, and replacing parts as needed to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance. Repair: Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with kitchen equipment when they arise. This may involve testing components, identifying faulty parts, and repairing or replacing them to restore functionality. Safety Inspections: Conducting safety inspections of kitchen equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. This includes checking for leaks, malfunctions, and other potential hazards that could pose risks to employees or customers. Training and Support: Providing training and support to kitchen staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment. This includes demonstrating proper operating procedures, troubleshooting common issues, and educating staff on safety protocols. Inventory Management: Maintaining inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment needed for repairs and maintenance tasks. This includes ordering supplies, tracking usage, and ensuring that necessary items are readily available when needed. Documentation: Keeping detailed records of equipment maintenance and repair activities. This includes documenting service calls, work performed, parts replaced, and any other relevant information to track equipment history and ensure accountability. Emergency Response: Responding promptly to emergency service calls for urgent repairs or equipment failures. This may involve working outside of regular hours to address critical issues and minimize downtime for the kitchen operation. Upgrades and Retrofits: Identifying opportunities for equipment upgrades or retrofits to improve efficiency, performance, and energy savings. This may involve recommending new equipment technologies or modifications to existing systems. Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients, addressing their concerns, and ensuring that their kitchen equipment needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
