Job description

Construction Tasks: Performing general construction tasks such as framing, drywall installation, flooring installation, painting, and finishing work. Following construction plans, specifications, and building codes to ensure quality and safety. Demolition and Removal: Assisting with demolition activities to remove existing interior structures, finishes, and fixtures as needed. Safely disposing of debris and waste materials in accordance with site regulations and environmental standards. Material Handling: Assisting with the handling, transportation, and storage of construction materials, tools, and equipment on-site. Ensuring that materials are delivered to the appropriate locations and properly organized for efficient use. Installation of Fixtures and Finishes: Installing interior fixtures, finishes, and fittings such as cabinetry, countertops, doors, windows, hardware, and decorative elements. Following installation instructions and specifications to ensure proper alignment, fit, and functionality. Electrical and Plumbing Assistance: Assisting licensed electricians and plumbers with the installation of electrical wiring, lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures, and related components. Providing support and coordination as needed to ensure smooth installation processes. Surface Preparation: Preparing surfaces for finishes and treatments by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming as necessary. Ensuring that surfaces are smooth, level, and free of defects before applying paint, wallpaper, or other finishes. Quality Assurance: Inspecting workmanship and finished installations to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and client expectations. Addressing any defects, deficiencies, or issues promptly and effectively. Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others on the construction site. Using personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other workers, subcontractors, and supervisors on the construction site to coordinate activities and achieve project objectives. Communicating effectively and working cooperatively as part of a team. Equipment Operation: Operating hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively. Following manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure proper equipment operation. Problem Solving: Identifying and addressing challenges, obstacles, and issues that may arise during construction activities. Using problem-solving skills and resourcefulness to find practical solutions and keep construction progress on track. Client Interaction: Interacting with clients, designers, and project managers as needed to provide updates on construction progress, address questions or concerns, and ensure client satisfaction with the work being performed. Documentation: Completing documentation such as daily logs, work reports, and material requisitions as required. Maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any incidents or observations on-site.
