Job description

Site Management: Manage day-to-day operations at the construction site, including coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and workers to ensure smooth progress of work. Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project requirements. Construction Supervision: Supervise the installation and construction of interior design elements, such as flooring, walls, ceilings, cabinetry, fixtures, and furnishings. Ensure that work is performed correctly and according to approved plans, specifications, and design intent. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure that construction work meets design standards, specifications, and industry best practices. Conduct inspections, tests, and evaluations to identify defects, deficiencies, or deviations from requirements and take corrective actions as needed. Material and Equipment Coordination: Coordinate the delivery, receipt, and installation of materials, finishes, fixtures, and equipment required for the interior design project. Ensure that materials are sourced, procured, and installed in accordance with design specifications and project schedules. Workforce Management: Manage construction crews, subcontractors, and laborers working on-site, including scheduling work assignments, providing direction and guidance, and monitoring performance to ensure productivity and adherence to safety protocols. Progress Monitoring: Monitor the progress of construction activities and milestones, including tracking work completed, work in progress, and work remaining. Report progress to project managers and stakeholders and identify any issues or delays that may affect project timelines. Client Communication: Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project progress, address concerns or questions, and ensure that client expectations are met. Act as a liaison between the client and the design team to facilitate communication and resolve issues. Change Management: Manage changes to the design plan, specifications, or scope of work as directed by project managers or as necessitated by site conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Coordinate with stakeholders to assess impacts, obtain approvals, and implement changes effectively. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and practices to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on the construction site. Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and training sessions to promote awareness and prevent accidents, injuries, and hazards. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of construction activities, including daily progress reports, inspection reports, and incident reports. Document work performed, materials used, and resources expended to support project documentation and reporting requirements. Problem-Solving: Identify and address construction-related problems, challenges, and conflicts that arise during the course of the project. Work proactively to find solutions, mitigate risks, and overcome obstacles to keep the project on track. Closeout and Handover: Coordinate the final inspection, completion, and handover of the interior design project to the client. Ensure that all work is completed to the client's satisfaction, and address any outstanding issues or punch list items before final acceptance and project closure.
