Job description

Construction Supervision: Supervise construction activities on-site, including interior finishes, installations, and modifications, to ensure that work is carried out efficiently, safely, and according to project plans and specifications. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure that construction work meets quality standards and complies with design requirements. Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to identify defects, deficiencies, and deviations from design intent. Material Management: Coordinate the delivery, storage, and handling of construction materials and finishes on-site. Ensure that materials are procured and installed correctly and that wastage is minimized. Workforce Management: Manage on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and laborers, assigning tasks, scheduling work activities, and providing guidance and support to ensure productivity and quality of work. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, procedures, and regulations on the construction site to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazards. Conduct safety inspections, toolbox talks, and safety training for workers as required. Coordination with Stakeholders: Communicate regularly with interior designers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to coordinate construction activities, resolve technical issues, and address design changes or modifications. Progress Monitoring: Monitor construction progress, track work milestones, and report progress to project managers and stakeholders. Identify and address any delays, bottlenecks, or issues that may impact project schedule and budget. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date construction records, including daily logs, progress reports, inspection reports, and as-built drawings. Document changes, deviations, and revisions to project plans and specifications. Client Communication: Interface with clients to provide progress updates, address concerns, and ensure that project objectives and expectations are met. Respond to client inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner. Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC): Implement QA/QC procedures to ensure that construction work meets quality requirements and complies with project specifications and standards. Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance and address non-conformities. Cost Control: Assist in monitoring project costs, tracking expenditures, and controlling project budgets. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-effective solutions to optimize project performance and profitability. Permitting and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, permits, and other legal requirements governing construction activities. Obtain necessary permits and approvals and ensure that construction work is conducted lawfully and ethically. Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts, disputes, and disagreements among construction personnel and stakeholders diplomatically and constructively. Foster positive relationships and teamwork to achieve project goals and objectives. Client Satisfaction: Ensure that client expectations are met or exceeded by delivering high-quality workmanship, adhering to project schedules, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the construction process. Continuous Improvement: Identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement during the construction process. Implement corrective actions, process improvements, and best practices to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality on future projects.
