Project Coordination: You coordinate with the project manager, interior designer, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, timelines, and deliverables. Site Preparation: Before the start of construction or renovation work, you ensure that the site is properly prepared. This may involve coordinating site surveys, obtaining necessary permits, and setting up temporary facilities. Construction Oversight: You oversee all aspects of construction activities on-site, including demolition, structural modifications, installation of interior elements, and finishing work. You ensure that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and according to approved plans and specifications. Quality Control: You conduct regular inspections to monitor the quality of workmanship and materials used. You identify any defects, deviations from the design, or discrepancies and take corrective actions as necessary to maintain quality standards. Safety Compliance: Safety is a top priority on construction sites. You enforce safety protocols, ensure that workers adhere to safety regulations and guidelines, and address any safety concerns or hazards promptly. Progress Reporting: You provide regular progress updates to the project manager and stakeholders, including milestone achievements, work completed, and any delays or issues encountered. Clear communication is essential to keep everyone informed and aligned. Resource Management: You manage resources such as labor, materials, and equipment efficiently to optimize productivity and minimize waste. This may involve scheduling deliveries, coordinating subcontractors, and resolving resource conflicts. Problem Solving: Construction projects often encounter challenges and unforeseen issues. You troubleshoot problems as they arise, propose viable solutions, and work collaboratively with the project team to keep the project on track. Client Interaction: You may interact with clients or their representatives during site visits or progress meetings. You address their questions, concerns, and feedback professionally, providing reassurance and updates on project status. Documentation and Record-Keeping: You maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, inspection logs, change orders, and as-built drawings. This documentation serves as a reference for project documentation and future reference.
