Job description

Site Management: Manage day-to-day operations at the construction site, including coordination of work activities, scheduling of trades, and supervision of labor. Ensure that all work is executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project plans and specifications. Construction Oversight: Supervise construction activities, including demolition, carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, painting, and finishing. Monitor progress, quality of workmanship, and adherence to project schedules to ensure timely completion of interior design projects. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that construction work meets design standards, specifications, and client expectations. Conduct inspections, tests, and quality checks on materials, workmanship, and finished installations to verify compliance with quality requirements. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on the construction site. Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and audits to identify hazards, mitigate risks, and prevent accidents and injuries. Material Management: Coordinate the delivery, storage, and installation of materials, fixtures, and equipment required for interior design projects. Verify the quantity, condition, and quality of materials received and ensure proper handling and storage to prevent damage or loss. Trade Coordination: Coordinate with subcontractors, tradespeople, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and efficient resource utilization. Schedule and supervise subcontractor activities, resolve conflicts, and address issues that may arise during construction. Communication: Maintain open communication with project stakeholders, including interior designers, project managers, clients, and subcontractors. Provide regular progress updates, address concerns, and facilitate coordination meetings to ensure alignment of project objectives and expectations. Problem-solving: Identify and resolve construction-related problems, conflicts, and challenges that may arise during project execution. Collaborate with project team members to develop solutions, make informed decisions, and overcome obstacles to project success. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of construction activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and as-built drawings. Document work delays, change orders, and deviations from project plans to support project documentation and claims management. Client Interaction: Interact with clients to address questions, concerns, and requests related to the construction process. Provide updates on project progress, address client feedback, and ensure that client expectations are met or exceeded throughout the construction phase. Budget Control: Monitor construction costs, expenses, and budget allocations to ensure that project expenditures remain within budgetary constraints. Identify cost-saving opportunities, minimize waste, and implement cost-control measures to optimize project profitability. Final Inspection and Handover: Conduct final inspections and walkthroughs to verify that construction work meets quality standards and client requirements. Prepare punch lists, rectify any deficiencies, and ensure that all project deliverables are completed satisfactorily before final handover to the client.
