Job description

Construction Management: Supervising and coordinating construction activities on-site, including managing subcontractors, tradespeople, and laborers to ensure that work is carried out efficiently and in accordance with design plans. Quality Control: Conducting regular inspections of workmanship and materials to ensure that construction meets quality standards and specifications. This includes identifying defects, deviations from design plans, and ensuring that corrective measures are implemented promptly. Site Safety: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and standards on the construction site. This involves implementing safety protocols, conducting safety briefings, and monitoring site conditions to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries. Material Procurement and Management: Coordinating the procurement, delivery, and storage of materials and supplies needed for construction activities. This includes ensuring that materials are ordered in a timely manner, tracking inventory, and managing waste disposal. Communication with Stakeholders: Serving as a liaison between the design team, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders involved in the project. This involves providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns or issues, and facilitating communication to ensure that everyone is informed and aligned. Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving issues or challenges that arise during construction, such as unexpected site conditions, design changes, or material shortages. This may involve troubleshooting technical problems, coordinating solutions with the design team, and making adjustments to keep the project on track. Schedule Management: Monitoring project schedules and timelines to ensure that construction activities are completed according to plan. This includes tracking progress, identifying critical path activities, and implementing measures to address delays or disruptions to minimize impact on project deadlines. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to construction activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and as-built drawings. This helps to track project milestones, document changes, and provide a record of construction activities for future reference. Client Coordination: Communicating with clients to provide updates on project progress, address concerns or questions, and ensure that their expectations are being met. This includes facilitating client walkthroughs and inspections to review construction work and address any issues or changes as needed. Team Leadership: Providing leadership and direction to construction teams and subcontractors to motivate and inspire teamwork and productivity. This includes fostering a positive work environment, resolving conflicts, and recognizing and rewarding performance.
