Job description

Client Consultation: Meeting with clients to understand their requirements, preferences, budget, and timeline for the project. Conducting thorough interviews and assessments to gather information about their lifestyle, tastes, and design objectives. Concept Development: Developing design concepts and proposals based on client input, project requirements, and your creative vision. Presenting sketches, mood boards, and renderings to communicate design ideas effectively. Space Planning: Analyzing the layout and functionality of interior spaces to optimize flow, usability, and spatial organization. Developing floor plans, furniture layouts, and circulation diagrams to ensure efficient use of space. Material and Finish Selection: Selecting appropriate materials, finishes, furnishings, and accessories to enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of interior spaces. Considering factors such as durability, sustainability, and budget constraints. Color Palette and Lighting Design: Creating cohesive color schemes and lighting plans that enhance the ambiance and mood of interior spaces. Selecting lighting fixtures, fixtures, and controls to provide adequate illumination and visual interest. Furniture and Fixture Specification: Specifying furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) that align with the design concept and meet client requirements. Sourcing products from vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers and coordinating procurement and delivery. Detailing and Customization: Designing custom elements such as built-in cabinetry, millwork, and architectural details to add uniqueness and character to interior spaces. Collaborating with craftsmen, fabricators, and contractors to execute custom designs. Presentation and Visualization: Creating presentation materials, including 3D renderings, CAD drawings, and sample boards, to communicate design concepts to clients, stakeholders, and project teams. Using digital tools and software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Project Management: Overseeing all aspects of the design project, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and coordination with contractors and vendors. Managing timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Client Collaboration and Communication: Maintaining regular communication with clients to provide updates, address concerns, and solicit feedback throughout the design process. Collaborating with clients to make design decisions and revisions as needed. Code Compliance and Regulations: Ensuring that design plans comply with building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to health, safety, accessibility, and environmental sustainability. Professional Development: Staying informed about current trends, technologies, and best practices in interior design through ongoing education, training, and participation in professional organizations and events.
