Concept Development: You develop design concepts and themes that reflect the client's preferences, project objectives, and design goals. You create mood boards, color palettes, and material samples to present design concepts and help clients visualize the proposed design direction. Furniture and Fixture Selection: You select furniture, fixtures, and accessories that complement the design concept and meet the functional and aesthetic requirements of the space. You consider factors such as scale, proportion, style, and materiality when choosing furnishings for interior spaces. Material and Finish Selection: You specify materials, finishes, and textures for surfaces such as walls, floors, ceilings, and countertops. You consider factors such as durability, maintenance requirements, and aesthetic appeal when selecting materials and finishes for interior spaces. Lighting Design: You design lighting schemes that enhance the functionality and ambiance of interior spaces. You specify lighting fixtures, controls, and placement to achieve optimal lighting levels, task lighting, and mood lighting according to the needs of the space and occupants. Color Coordination: You select color schemes and palettes that create harmonious and visually appealing interiors. You consider the psychological effects of color, as well as the client's preferences and the intended use of the space when choosing colors for walls, furnishings, and accessories. 3D Visualization: You create 3D renderings and visualizations to help clients visualize the proposed design concepts and spatial arrangements. Coordination with Contractors and Vendors: You collaborate with contractors, architects, vendors, and other professionals involved in the project to ensure that the design vision is executed according to plan. You communicate design specifications, review shop drawings, and coordinate the procurement and installation of furnishings, fixtures, and finishes. Project Management: You manage the interior design project from concept development through to completion. You create project schedules, budgets, and timelines, and oversee the implementation of the design plan to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
