Job description

Client Consultation: Meeting with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints, and discussing project requirements, goals, and timelines. Space Planning: Developing layout plans and floor plans to optimize the use of space, flow, and functionality within interior environments, considering factors such as furniture placement, traffic patterns, and accessibility requirements. Concept Development: Creating design concepts, themes, and color schemes that reflect the client's style, brand identity, and project objectives, and presenting them to clients for approval. Material and Finish Selection: Selecting appropriate materials, finishes, furnishings, fixtures, and accessories to enhance the aesthetics and functionality of interior spaces, while considering factors such as durability, maintenance, and sustainability. 3D Visualization: Using computer-aided design (CAD) software and rendering tools to create 3D models, visualizations, and virtual tours of proposed interior designs, allowing clients to visualize the final outcome before implementation. Furniture and Lighting Design: Designing custom furniture pieces, lighting fixtures, and built-in elements to complement the overall design concept and meet the specific needs of the space and its users. Specification and Procurement: Creating detailed specifications, schedules, and procurement lists for interior materials, furnishings, and finishes, and coordinating with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to source and procure items for the project. Construction Documentation: Developing construction drawings, detailed plans, and specifications to communicate design intent and requirements to contractors, tradespeople, and other project stakeholders. Project Management: Overseeing the implementation of interior design projects, coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and tradespeople, and ensuring that construction activities are completed according to schedule, budget, and quality standards. Client Presentation: Presenting design concepts, proposals, and presentations to clients, stakeholders, and decision-makers, and incorporating feedback and revisions as needed to finalize the design. Budgeting and Cost Estimation: Estimating project costs, preparing budgets, and tracking expenditures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure that projects are completed within budgetary constraints. Professional Development: Staying updated on trends, innovations, and best practices in interior design through continuing education, professional development courses, and participation in industry events and organizations.
