Job description

Curriculum Development: Designing and developing curriculum and lesson plans aligned with the structure and content of the IELTS exam. Creating teaching materials, resources, and practice tests to improve students' language skills. Instruction and Delivery: Delivering effective and engaging classroom instruction to students preparing for the IELTS exam. Teaching all components of the IELTS exam: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. Assessment and Feedback: Administering diagnostic tests and mock exams to assess students' language proficiency and readiness for the IELTS exam. Providing constructive feedback on students' performance and identifying areas for improvement. Language Skills Development: Enhancing students' English language skills, including vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and fluency. Focusing on academic and general language skills needed for success in the IELTS exam. Exam Preparation Strategies: Teaching effective exam strategies and techniques to help students approach each section of the IELTS exam confidently. Familiarizing students with the IELTS exam format, timing, and scoring criteria. Individualized Support: Offering personalized coaching and support to address individual learning needs and challenges. Providing additional practice and resources tailored to students' strengths and weaknesses. Progress Monitoring: Monitoring students' progress through regular assessments, quizzes, and practice tests. Tracking students' performance and adjusting teaching methods as needed to ensure continuous improvement. Cultural and Contextual Understanding: Increasing students' awareness and understanding of cultural contexts and expectations in English-speaking countries. Incorporating cultural aspects into language learning to enhance students' communication skills. Professional Development: Staying updated on changes to the IELTS exam, test format, and assessment criteria. Participating in professional development activities, workshops, and conferences related to language teaching and assessment. Candidate Support: Providing guidance and assistance to students on exam registration, test dates, and preparation strategies. Offering advice on study techniques, time management, and stress reduction strategies for exam day. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with colleagues and academic staff to share best practices, curriculum updates, and teaching methodologies. Communicating effectively with students, addressing their concerns, and maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment.
