Job description

Staff Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, janitors, and cleaners. Assign duties, schedule shifts, and ensure that staffing levels are adequate to meet operational needs. Training and Development: Train new housekeeping staff members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards. Provide ongoing training and support to ensure that staff members perform their duties effectively and efficiently. Quality Control: Inspect rooms, public areas, restrooms, and other facilities to ensure that they are clean, orderly, and well-maintained. Address any deficiencies or issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed. Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and amenities, ensuring that adequate stock levels are maintained at all times. Monitor usage, reorder supplies as needed, and track expenses to stay within budgetary constraints. Cleaning and Maintenance: Assist housekeeping staff with cleaning tasks as needed, especially during peak periods or when additional support is required. Perform deep cleaning and maintenance tasks on a regular basis to ensure that facilities are well-maintained and presentable. Safety and Compliance: Ensure that housekeeping staff adhere to safety regulations and guidelines while performing their duties. Provide training on safe work practices, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and handling of cleaning chemicals. Customer Service: Interact with customers, guests, and employees to address any housekeeping-related concerns or requests. Ensure that customer feedback is addressed promptly and that guests' needs are met to their satisfaction. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, inspection reports, inventory levels, and staff performance. Prepare reports for management on housekeeping activities, budget expenditures, and performance metrics. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with other departments within the facility, such as maintenance, front desk, and security, to coordinate activities and address any issues or concerns that may arise. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost savings within the housekeeping department. Implement best practices, new technologies, and innovative solutions to enhance the effectiveness and productivity of housekeeping operations.
