Job description

Cleaning Guest Rooms: Cleaning and tidying guest rooms daily or as per guest request. This includes making beds, changing linens, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning bathrooms. Ensuring rooms are immaculate and inviting for incoming guests. Restocking Supplies: Replenishing guest room amenities such as toiletries, towels, linens, and stationery. Ensuring adequate supplies are available for guest use. Inspecting and Reporting: Conducting thorough inspections of guest rooms to ensure cleanliness, functionality of equipment (e.g., TV, lights), and proper operation of amenities (e.g., air conditioning, hot water). Reporting any maintenance issues or damage to the maintenance department for prompt resolution. Public Area Cleaning: Cleaning and maintaining cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, corridors, elevators, stairwells, and restrooms. Vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, dusting surfaces, and removing trash. Laundry Operations: Handling and processing guest laundry requests, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothes and linens. Ensuring laundry procedures follow hotel standards and guest preferences. Lost and Found: Managing lost and found items according to hotel policies. Logging and storing lost items and coordinating their return to guests or disposal as necessary. Room Setup: Assisting with room setup for special occasions or events, such as preparing conference rooms or banquet halls for meetings, weddings, or parties. Safety and Security: Adhering to safety protocols and hotel security procedures. Ensuring all cleaning chemicals and equipment are handled safely and securely stored. Reporting any safety hazards or suspicious activities to management. Teamwork and Communication: Collaborating with other housekeeping staff, front desk personnel, maintenance team members, and other departments to ensure efficient operations and guest satisfaction. Communicating effectively to coordinate tasks and resolve issues promptly. Quality Control: Upholding high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the property. Conducting regular inspections and quality checks to maintain cleanliness standards and meet guest expectations. Training and Development: Participating in training programs to enhance skills in cleaning techniques, guest interaction, safety procedures, and hotel policies. Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices in housekeeping.
