Job description

Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and other designated areas using appropriate cleaning agents, disinfectants, and equipment. Remove dust, dirt, stains, and debris to maintain a clean and hygienic environment. Bed Making and Linen Change: Make beds, change linens, and replace towels in guest rooms, patient rooms, or residential units. Ensure beds are made neatly, linens are properly fitted, and towels are replenished according to standard procedures. Trash Removal: Empty trash bins, waste receptacles, and recycling containers regularly to remove waste and maintain cleanliness. Dispose of trash properly according to established waste management protocols and recycling guidelines. Floor Care: Sweep, vacuum, mop, or scrub floors using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment to remove dirt, stains, and spills. Polish or wax floors as needed to maintain shine and protect floor surfaces. Surface Cleaning: Clean and disinfect surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and equipment to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria. Wipe down countertops, tables, desks, chairs, and other surfaces using disinfectant solutions and cleaning cloths. Window Cleaning: Clean and wash windows, glass doors, and glass surfaces using window cleaning solutions, squeegees, and cleaning tools. Remove streaks, smudges, and fingerprints for a clear and spotless finish. Restroom Maintenance: Clean and disinfect restrooms, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures to ensure cleanliness and hygiene. Replenish restroom supplies, such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels, as needed. Room Setup and Turndown Service: Set up guest rooms, conference rooms, or event spaces according to specified standards and requirements. Provide turndown service, including turning down beds, adjusting lighting, and preparing amenities for guests. Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, toiletries, and guest amenities. Replenish supplies as needed, monitor stock levels, and report inventory shortages or discrepancies to supervisors. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations while performing housekeeping tasks. Use personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, goggles, or masks, when handling cleaning chemicals or hazardous materials. Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional customer service to guests, residents, or occupants. Address cleaning requests, inquiries, or concerns promptly and effectively to ensure customer satisfaction. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with housekeeping team members, supervisors, or facility managers to coordinate cleaning activities and assignments. Communicate effectively with team members to share information, provide support, and ensure tasks are completed efficiently. Quality Assurance: Ensure quality standards and cleanliness benchmarks are met or exceeded in all cleaning activities. Conduct inspections, quality checks, or walkthroughs to assess cleaning results and address any deficiencies or areas for improvement.
