Job description

Cleaning and Sanitizing: Performing routine cleaning tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing surfaces. Disinfecting and sanitizing high-touch surfaces, restrooms, and common areas to prevent the spread of germs and maintain hygiene standards. Room and Area Preparation: Making beds, changing linens, and replenishing towels and toiletries in guest rooms, hospital rooms, or residential units. Setting up rooms or spaces for events, meetings, or special occasions by arranging furniture, decor, and amenities as required. Waste Management: Collecting and disposing of trash, recyclables, and hazardous materials according to waste management protocols and environmental regulations. Sorting and segregating waste materials for recycling and proper disposal. Inventory Management: Monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies, toiletries, and amenities to ensure adequate stock levels. Reporting supply shortages or equipment malfunctions to supervisors for timely replenishment or repairs. Maintenance Support: Reporting maintenance issues, safety hazards, and damages to facilities or equipment to maintenance staff or supervisors. Assisting with minor maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, fixing leaks, or unclogging drains. Guest or Resident Interaction: Providing courteous and professional customer service to guests, residents, or occupants. Responding to inquiries, requests, or concerns promptly and addressing them with attention to detail and sensitivity. Compliance and Safety: Adhering to health, safety, and sanitation standards, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following cleaning protocols. Participating in safety training programs and drills to maintain awareness of emergency procedures and hazards. Team Collaboration: Collaborating with housekeeping team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules, tasks, and priorities. Supporting colleagues during peak periods or special projects to ensure efficient workflow and service delivery. Quality Assurance: Conducting quality inspections and audits to assess cleanliness standards, identify areas for improvement, and maintain consistent service quality. Implementing corrective actions and ensuring adherence to established cleaning procedures and service standards. Continuous Improvement: Seeking opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement through training programs, workshops, or certifications related to housekeeping practices.
