Job description

Room Cleaning: Clean and tidy guest rooms, hotel rooms, or patient rooms according to established standards and procedures. Make beds, change linens, vacuum carpets, dust furniture, and replenish amenities such as towels, toiletries, and refreshments. Bathroom Cleaning: Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, bathtubs, and mirrors. Restock bathroom supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and towels. Ensure that bathroom fixtures are free of stains, mold, and odors. Common Area Cleaning: Clean and maintain common areas such as lobbies, hallways, corridors, stairways, and public restrooms. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to remove dirt, debris, and allergens. Empty trash bins and replace liners as needed. Surface Disinfection: Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, handrails, and elevator buttons to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria. Use appropriate cleaning agents and disinfectants to kill pathogens effectively. Floor Care: Clean and maintain floors using appropriate cleaning methods and equipment for different types of flooring, such as tile, carpet, hardwood, or linoleum. Sweep, mop, vacuum, shampoo, or wax floors to achieve a clean and polished appearance. Trash Removal: Empty trash bins and waste receptacles in guest rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces. Sort and separate recyclable materials from non-recyclable waste according to recycling guidelines and regulations. Laundry Management: Collect, sort, and launder linens, towels, bedding, and other textiles used in guest rooms or common areas. Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironing machines to ensure clean and properly folded linens. Inventory Management: Monitor and replenish housekeeping supplies and amenities such as cleaning agents, toiletries, linens, and guest room supplies. Keep track of inventory levels, place orders for replenishment, and maintain organized storage areas. Room Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms or assigned areas to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with quality standards. Identify any maintenance issues, damages, or deficiencies and report them to the appropriate department for resolution. Lost and Found Management: Collect and store lost items found in guest rooms or public areas. Log and catalog lost and found items, and follow established procedures for returning items to guests or disposing of unclaimed items. Safety and Security: Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, or incidents in the workplace. Adhere to security policies and guidelines to protect guests, staff, and property from theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access. Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional service to guests, visitors, and other stakeholders. Address guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and courteously.
