Job description

Cleaning and Sanitizing: Performing cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing surfaces to ensure that living or working spaces are clean and sanitary. Housekeepers clean rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, common areas, and other designated areas according to established standards and schedules. Making Beds: Changing bed linens, making beds, and ensuring that bedding is fresh and neatly arranged. Housekeepers may also fluff pillows, straighten bed skirts, and arrange decorative elements to enhance the appearance of beds. Trash Removal: Emptying trash bins, garbage cans, and recycling containers and disposing of waste materials in designated areas. Housekeepers ensure that trash receptacles are clean, lined with liners, and properly sealed to prevent odors and spills. Laundry Services: Washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothing, linens, towels, and other textiles as needed. Housekeepers may operate washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment to ensure that laundry is clean, fresh, and neatly folded or hung. Restocking Supplies: Replenishing amenities, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and other consumable items in rooms, bathrooms, and common areas. Housekeepers ensure that guests or occupants have access to essential items and that supplies are well-stocked at all times. Reporting Maintenance Issues: Identifying and reporting maintenance issues, damage, or repairs needed in rooms or common areas. Housekeepers communicate with maintenance staff or supervisors to address issues promptly and ensure that facilities are well-maintained. Following Safety Protocols: Adhering to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to prevent accidents, injuries, or incidents in the workplace. Housekeepers use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and follow proper handling and storage practices for cleaning chemicals and equipment. Customer Service: Providing friendly, courteous, and professional service to guests, residents, or clients. Housekeepers respond to requests, inquiries, and feedback from occupants and ensure that their needs are met promptly and satisfactorily.
