Job description

Clinical Operations: Oversee the delivery of clinical services and medical care to patients, including inpatient care, outpatient services, emergency care, surgery, diagnostics, and specialty care. Coordinate with clinical departments such as nursing, medicine, surgery, and allied health to ensure effective patient management and treatment. Facilities Management: Manage the physical infrastructure and facilities of the hospital, including buildings, grounds, equipment, and utilities. Ensure that facilities are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with regulatory standards. Oversee maintenance, repairs, renovations, and capital improvement projects to support efficient operations. Supply Chain Management: Coordinate the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment necessary for patient care. Establish relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and optimize supply chain processes to ensure adequate stock levels, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of supplies. Information Technology (IT) Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of healthcare information systems, electronic health records (EHRs), clinical systems, and digital infrastructure. Ensure the security, interoperability, and usability of IT systems to support clinical workflows, data management, and patient information privacy. Quality Assurance and Patient Safety: Establish and monitor quality improvement initiatives, patient safety protocols, and clinical governance processes to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and evidence-based care. Implement quality metrics, performance indicators, and accreditation standards to measure and improve clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. Revenue Cycle Management: Manage the financial processes and revenue cycle activities related to patient billing, coding, claims processing, and reimbursement. Ensure accurate documentation, coding compliance, and timely billing to maximize revenue capture and minimize revenue leakage. Human Resources Management: Recruit, train, and manage a skilled workforce of healthcare professionals, administrative staff, and support personnel. Develop staffing plans, establish performance standards, and provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities to support employee engagement and retention. Patient Access and Registration: Facilitate patient access to healthcare services by managing appointment scheduling, patient registration, and admissions processes. Ensure timely and accurate collection of patient demographic information, insurance verification, and financial clearance to expedite patient flow and service delivery. Patient Experience and Satisfaction: Implement initiatives to enhance the patient experience, improve patient satisfaction scores, and address patient feedback and complaints. Foster a culture of patient-centered care, empathy, and communication among staff members to create a positive and compassionate care environment. Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Management: Develop and maintain emergency preparedness plans, protocols, and response strategies to address natural disasters, pandemics, and other emergencies. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, emergency responders, and community partners to ensure a coordinated and effective response. Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards set by organizations such as The Joint Commission (TJC) or the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Monitor regulatory changes, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions to maintain compliance and mitigate risks. Community Engagement and Outreach: Engage with the local community, patients, families, and stakeholders to understand community health needs, promote health education, and support population health initiatives. Collaborate with community organizations, government agencies, and healthcare partners to address health disparities and improve access to care.
