Clinical Support Services: Supporting patient care through services such as laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, pharmacy, and rehabilitation therapy. Specialty Care Units: Operating specialized units such as intensive care units (ICUs), neonatal intensive care units (NICUs), and surgical suites to meet the needs of specific patient populations. Patient Education: Offering educational resources and materials to patients and their families to promote understanding of medical conditions, treatment options, and self-care practices. Facility Management: Environmental Services: Managing housekeeping, sanitation, waste disposal, and infection control measures to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Engineering and Maintenance: Overseeing the maintenance and repair of hospital facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. Security and Safety: Implementing security measures, access controls, and emergency response protocols to protect patients, staff, and assets from security threats and hazards. Administrative Services: Front Desk Operations: Managing reception and registration areas, scheduling appointments, answering phones, and directing inquiries to the appropriate departments or personnel. Medical Records: Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records, including electronic health records (EHRs), diagnostic reports, and treatment histories. Billing and Revenue Cycle Management: Handling billing, coding, claims processing, and revenue cycle management functions to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement for services rendered. Health Information Management: Overseeing the collection, storage, retrieval, and analysis of healthcare data to support clinical decision-making, research, and reporting requirements. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Quality Improvement: Monitoring and evaluating the quality of patient care and clinical outcomes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing quality improvement initiatives and best practices.
