Job description

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives in collaboration with hospital leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Monitor and evaluate progress towards strategic goals and adjust plans as needed. Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and revenue cycle management to ensure the hospital operates within budgetary constraints while maximizing revenue and controlling costs. Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement strategies to improve financial outcomes. Human Resources Management: Recruit, hire, train, and supervise administrative and support staff, including department managers, administrative assistants, and clerical staff. Develop and implement policies and procedures related to staffing, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with employment laws and regulations. Quality Improvement: Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care, safety, and satisfaction. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and process efficiency. Identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based practices to drive quality and safety improvements. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing healthcare facilities, including licensure, accreditation, and certification requirements. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and updates and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance. Health Information Management: Oversee the management of patient health information, including medical records, electronic health records (EHRs), and patient privacy and confidentiality. Ensure compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and other legal requirements related to health information management. Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and renovation of hospital facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Coordinate with facilities management staff, vendors, and contractors to address maintenance issues and capital improvement projects. Supply Chain Management: Manage the procurement, inventory, and distribution of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment to support clinical operations. Negotiate contracts with suppliers, monitor inventory levels, and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize supply chain efficiency. Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans and protocols to respond to natural disasters, public health emergencies, and other crises. Coordinate with local emergency response agencies and healthcare partners to ensure a coordinated response to emergencies. Community Relations: Foster positive relationships with patients, families, community organizations, and stakeholders to promote the hospital's reputation and enhance community engagement. Participate in community outreach activities, public health initiatives, and educational programs to support community health and wellness.
