Job description

Curriculum Development: Develop and design curriculum materials, lesson plans, and instructional resources for teaching Hindi language and literature. Align curriculum with educational standards and learning objectives to ensure comprehensive coverage of language skills, grammar, vocabulary, and cultural content. Language Instruction: Teach students the fundamentals of the Hindi language, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Provide instruction in Hindi phonetics, pronunciation, grammar rules, sentence structure, and vocabulary acquisition. Language Proficiency: Assess students' language proficiency levels and tailor instruction to meet their individual learning needs. Provide differentiated instruction and support for students at various proficiency levels, from beginners to advanced learners. Literature Studies: Introduce students to Hindi literature, poetry, prose, and drama from different historical periods and literary movements. Explore works by prominent Hindi authors, poets, and playwrights, and analyze literary themes, styles, and cultural contexts. Cultural Awareness: Educate students about Hindi culture, traditions, customs, festivals, and social norms. Provide insights into Indian history, geography, art, music, dance, cuisine, and religious practices to foster cultural awareness and appreciation. Language Immersion: Create opportunities for language immersion and authentic communication in Hindi. Encourage students to use Hindi in everyday conversations, classroom activities, role-plays, and cultural events to develop fluency and confidence in speaking the language. Language Enrichment: Enrich students' language learning experience through exposure to authentic Hindi materials, such as literature, films, songs, and media. Incorporate multimedia resources, online tools, and interactive activities to engage students and enhance language acquisition. Language Proficiency Exams: Prepare students for Hindi language proficiency exams, such as the Prathamik, Praveshika, Parichay, and Pratham certification exams administered by organizations like Kendriya Hindi Sansthan and Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha. Cultural Competence: Promote cultural competence and intercultural communication skills among students. Encourage respect for diversity, empathy for different cultural perspectives, and sensitivity to cultural nuances in language use and communication. Language Assessment: Assess student language skills and proficiency through a variety of formative and summative assessments, such as speaking tests, writing assignments, listening comprehension exercises, and reading comprehension tests. Use assessment data to monitor student progress and provide targeted feedback for improvement.
