Job description

Curriculum Development: Designing and developing curriculum, course materials, and training programs for hardware and networking courses, ensuring alignment with industry standards, certifications, and emerging technologies in IT hardware and networking. Instruction and Delivery: Delivering engaging and interactive lectures, workshops, and training sessions on hardware components, computer systems, networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, using a variety of instructional methods, techniques, and tools to accommodate diverse learning styles and levels of expertise. Hardware Expertise: Demonstrating expertise in computer hardware components, architecture, assembly, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance, including CPUs, motherboards, memory, storage devices, peripherals, and power supplies. Networking Technologies: Teaching networking fundamentals, including network topologies, protocols, IP addressing, subnetting, routing, switching, wireless networking, network security, and network administration principles and practices. Hands-on Training: Providing hands-on training and practical exercises using computer hardware components, networking devices (e.g., routers, switches, access points), network simulators, and diagnostic tools to reinforce theoretical concepts, develop technical skills, and troubleshoot hardware and networking issues. Lab Setup and Management: Setting up and maintaining hardware and networking labs, including computer systems, servers, networking devices, and software tools, and ensuring availability, functionality, and security of lab equipment and resources. Certification Preparation: Preparing students for hardware and networking certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, and others, by covering exam objectives, providing practice tests, and offering guidance on exam preparation strategies. Project-Based Learning: Facilitating project-based learning experiences, lab exercises, and real-world simulations to challenge students, apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios, and develop problem-solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills in hardware and networking. Assessment and Evaluation: Designing and administering assessments, quizzes, lab exercises, and certification exams to evaluate students' understanding, proficiency, and competency in hardware and networking concepts, techniques, and technologies. Feedback and Support: Providing constructive feedback, guidance, and support to students to help them improve their technical skills, overcome challenges, and achieve their hardware and networking goals, offering one-on-one mentoring and additional resources as needed. Industry Engagement: Establishing and maintaining relationships with industry professionals, employers, and IT organizations to stay informed about industry trends, job opportunities, and skill requirements in hardware and networking roles. Communication Skills: Communicating effectively with students, colleagues, and stakeholders through verbal communication, presentations, visual demonstrations, and written materials, and adapting communication style and content to diverse audiences.
