Job description

Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain hardware components such as servers, routers, switches, desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Set up networking equipment and establish connections to ensure smooth operation. Network Design and Implementation: Design, plan, and implement network infrastructure, including LANs (Local Area Networks), WANs (Wide Area Networks), WLANs (Wireless Local Area Networks), and VPNs (Virtual Private Networks). Configure network devices, IP addresses, subnets, and VLANs to optimize performance and security. Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Troubleshoot hardware and network issues using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and problem-solving techniques. Identify and resolve connectivity issues, hardware failures, software conflicts, and performance bottlenecks to minimize downtime and disruptions. Security Management: Implement security measures to protect network resources, data, and systems from unauthorized access, cyber threats, and malware attacks. Configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, and encryption protocols to safeguard sensitive information and maintain compliance with security standards. System Upgrades and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, system updates, and hardware upgrades to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Monitor system health, capacity, and resource utilization to identify potential issues and prevent system failures or crashes. Data Backup and Recovery: Implement data backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to protect against data loss and system outages. Backup critical data regularly, perform system backups, and test recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and business continuity in the event of a disaster. User Support and Training: Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, employees, and stakeholders. Resolve IT-related queries, troubleshoot software/hardware problems, and educate users on IT best practices, security protocols, and system usage guidelines. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of hardware configurations, network diagrams, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Generate reports, logs, and documentation to track IT assets, incidents, and service requests for audit and compliance purposes. Vendor Management: Coordinate with hardware vendors, service providers, and IT suppliers to procure hardware/software, obtain technical support, and resolve contractual issues. Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to ensure quality service delivery and cost-effective solutions. Compliance and Regulation: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and IT policies. Stay updated on relevant regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS, and implement measures to protect data privacy, confidentiality, and integrity.
