Job description

Hardware: Installation and Configuration: Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer hardware components such as processors, memory, storage devices, graphics cards, and peripheral devices (e.g., printers, scanners). Maintenance and Upgrades: Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, dusting, and replacing worn-out components to ensure optimal performance and longevity of hardware systems. Also, upgrading hardware components to improve performance or meet changing requirements. Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnosing hardware issues through troubleshooting techniques such as hardware diagnostics tools, analyzing error logs, and conducting hardware tests. Repairing or replacing faulty hardware components as needed. Hardware Compatibility: Ensuring compatibility between different hardware components, such as ensuring that new hardware additions are compatible with existing systems and interfaces. Hardware Procurement: Assisting in the procurement process by researching, evaluating, and recommending hardware products based on performance, reliability, and cost considerations. Networking: Network Setup and Configuration: Planning, designing, and implementing network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. Configuring network devices to ensure optimal performance, security, and connectivity. Network Security: Implementing security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and access controls to protect network infrastructure from unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats. Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitoring network performance and traffic patterns using network monitoring tools and utilities. Identifying and resolving network issues, such as connectivity issues, bandwidth congestion, and network outages. Network Protocols and Standards: Understanding and implementing network protocols and standards such as TCP/IP, Ethernet, Wi-Fi (802.11), DNS, DHCP, and SNMP. Network Administration: Performing administrative tasks such as user account management, permissions management, and network resource allocation. Ensuring compliance with organizational policies, industry regulations, and best practices. Network Documentation: Documenting network configurations, diagrams, policies, and procedures to facilitate troubleshooting, maintenance, and knowledge transfer within the organization. Network Planning and Optimization: Planning and designing network upgrades and expansions to accommodate growth, improve performance, and enhance scalability. Optimizing network configurations to minimize latency, maximize throughput, and optimize resource utilization. Disaster Recovery and Backup: Implementing disaster recovery plans and backup strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity in the event of network failures, data loss, or security breaches.
