Routine Gynecological Care: Provide routine gynecological care and preventive health services for women of all ages, including pelvic examinations, breast examinations, Pap smears, and cervical cancer screenings (HPV testing). Perform regular health assessments and screenings to detect gynecological conditions early and promote women's health and well-being. Contraceptive Counseling and Family Planning: Offer contraceptive counseling and family planning services to help women make informed decisions about birth control options and family planning methods. Provide education on contraceptive methods, discuss contraceptive effectiveness, and offer contraceptive prescriptions or devices tailored to individual patient preferences and needs. Preconception Counseling: Offer preconception counseling to women planning to conceive, providing guidance on optimizing health before pregnancy, managing chronic medical conditions, and addressing lifestyle factors that may affect fertility and pregnancy outcomes. Offer preconception screening tests, genetic counseling, and fertility evaluations as needed. Prenatal Care: Provide comprehensive prenatal care for pregnant women, monitoring maternal health, fetal growth, and pregnancy progression throughout gestation. Perform prenatal examinations, ultrasound scans, and prenatal testing to assess maternal and fetal well-being, identify potential complications, and ensure optimal pregnancy outcomes. Obstetric Care: Manage labor and delivery for pregnant women, providing obstetric care and support during childbirth. Monitor labor progress, fetal heart rate, and maternal vital signs, and intervene as needed to facilitate safe and effective labor progression. Perform obstetric procedures, including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and assisted vaginal deliveries (forceps or vacuum extraction). Postpartum Care: Provide postpartum care and support for women during the postpartum period, monitoring maternal recovery, breastfeeding success, and newborn care. Offer postpartum examinations, contraception counseling, and mental health support to address postpartum depression, anxiety, and adjustment challenges. Gynecological Examinations and Procedures: Perform gynecological examinations, diagnostic procedures, and gynecological surgeries to diagnose and treat gynecological conditions such as pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, menstrual disorders, ovarian cysts, fibroids, and endometriosis. Offer minimally invasive surgeries, laparoscopic procedures, and hysteroscopic surgeries for gynecological conditions requiring surgical intervention. Menopausal Care: Provide menopausal care and management for women experiencing menopausal symptoms, hormonal changes, and age-related health concerns. Offer hormonal therapy, non-hormonal treatments, and lifestyle modifications to alleviate menopausal symptoms, preserve bone health, and reduce long-term health risks associated with menopause. Sexual and Reproductive Health: Address sexual and reproductive health concerns, including sexual dysfunction, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), and infertility. Offer counseling, diagnostic testing, and treatment options to address sexual health issues and promote reproductive wellness. Gynecological Oncology: Collaborate with gynecological oncologists and oncology teams to diagnose and treat gynecological cancers, including cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, and vulvar cancer. Perform cancer screenings, offer genetic testing, and coordinate cancer treatment plans, including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. Patient Education and Counseling: Provide patient education and counseling on women's health issues, reproductive anatomy, menstrual health, contraception, prenatal care, childbirth preparation, breastfeeding, menopause, and gynecological conditions. Empower women to make informed decisions about their health and well-being, address concerns, and advocate for their healthcare needs. Research and Education: Engage in clinical research, academic activities, and continuing medical education to advance knowledge in obstetrics and gynecology, develop evidence-based practices, and improve patient care outcomes. Contribute to medical literature, present research findings at conferences, and mentor trainees to promote excellence in women's health care.
