Routine Examinations and Screenings: Perform routine gynecological examinations, including pelvic exams, breast exams, and Pap smears, to screen for cervical cancer, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and other gynecological conditions. Provide preventive healthcare and health promotion counseling to patients. Prenatal Care and Obstetrics: Provide prenatal care to pregnant women, monitor fetal development, and manage pregnancies from conception to childbirth. Perform prenatal screenings, ultrasounds, and diagnostic tests to assess maternal and fetal health and identify any pregnancy-related complications. Labor and Delivery: Attend labor and delivery to assist with childbirth, manage labor progress, and ensure maternal and fetal well-being during childbirth. Perform vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections (C-sections), and other obstetric procedures as needed to ensure safe and successful delivery outcomes. Family Planning and Contraception: Counsel patients on family planning options, contraceptive methods, and birth control choices based on their individual preferences, reproductive goals, and medical history. Provide contraceptive counseling, prescription of contraceptive methods, and insertion of contraceptive devices such as intrauterine devices (IUDs) or contraceptive implants. Menstrual Disorders and Hormonal Imbalances: Evaluate and treat menstrual disorders, irregular periods, and hormonal imbalances such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or endometriosis. Perform diagnostic tests, hormonal evaluations, and imaging studies to diagnose and manage gynecological conditions affecting the menstrual cycle. Menopause Management: Provide care and support to women experiencing menopause-related symptoms, such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness, mood swings, and sleep disturbances. Offer hormonal therapy, non-hormonal treatments, and lifestyle interventions to alleviate menopausal symptoms and improve quality of life. Gynecological Surgery: Perform gynecological surgeries and procedures, including hysterectomy, myomectomy, ovarian cystectomy, tubal ligation, and minimally invasive surgeries such as laparoscopy or hysteroscopy. Address gynecological conditions, pelvic pain, and reproductive health issues through surgical interventions. Infertility Evaluation and Treatment: Evaluate and manage infertility issues in couples through diagnostic testing, fertility evaluations, and assisted reproductive technologies (ART) such as in vitro fertilization (IVF), intrauterine insemination (IUI), or fertility medications. Offer counseling, support, and treatment options to help couples achieve pregnancy. Sexual and Reproductive Health: Address sexual health concerns, sexual dysfunction, and reproductive health issues affecting women of all ages. Provide counseling, education, and treatment for sexual health conditions, including sexual dysfunction, low libido, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Gynecological Oncology: Diagnose and treat gynecological cancers, including cervical cancer, uterine cancer, ovarian cancer, and vulvar cancer. Coordinate with oncologists, radiation oncologists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive cancer care, including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. Patient Education and Counseling: Educate patients about reproductive health, gynecological conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures. Offer counseling on contraception, family planning, pregnancy care, menopause management, and other women's health issues to empower patients to make informed decisions about their health. Collaboration and Referrals: Collaborate with other healthcare providers, specialists, and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients with complex medical needs. Refer patients to specialists for further evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment of specialized gynecological conditions or reproductive health issues.
