Job description

Routine Examinations: Conduct routine gynecological examinations, including pelvic exams, breast exams, and Pap smears, to screen for conditions such as cervical cancer, breast cancer, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnose and treat a wide range of gynecological conditions and disorders, including menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, urinary tract infections, vaginal infections, and reproductive system abnormalities. Contraceptive Counseling: Provide counseling and guidance on contraceptive options, including birth control pills, intrauterine devices (IUDs), contraceptive implants, and barrier methods. Help patients choose the most appropriate contraceptive method based on their health status, lifestyle, and preferences. Preventive Care: Offer preventive care services to promote women's health and well-being, including vaccinations (such as HPV vaccine), health screenings, and lifestyle counseling. Educate patients about healthy lifestyle choices, nutrition, exercise, and sexual health. Family Planning: Provide family planning services, including preconception counseling, fertility assessment, and assistance with reproductive planning. Offer guidance and support to individuals and couples who are trying to conceive or who are considering options for assisted reproductive technologies (ART). Prenatal Care: Provide comprehensive prenatal care to pregnant women, including prenatal screenings, ultrasounds, and monitoring of maternal and fetal health. Offer guidance on nutrition, exercise, and prenatal vitamins to promote a healthy pregnancy and childbirth experience. Obstetric Care: Manage labor and delivery for pregnant women, including monitoring labor progress, providing pain management options, and performing obstetric interventions as needed. Attend deliveries and provide medical care to ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and baby. Gynecological Surgery: Perform gynecological surgeries and procedures, including hysterectomy, myomectomy, laparoscopic surgery, colposcopy, and dilation and curettage (D&C), to treat gynecological conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and abnormal uterine bleeding. Menopause Management: Provide care and support to women experiencing menopause-related symptoms, including hot flashes, vaginal dryness, mood changes, and bone health issues. Offer hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and non-hormonal treatment options to alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life. Cancer Screening and Management: Screen for gynecological cancers, including cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, and uterine cancer, using appropriate screening tests such as Pap smears, HPV testing, and imaging studies. Diagnose and manage gynecological cancers through early detection, treatment, and follow-up care. Patient Education: Educate patients about gynecological health, reproductive anatomy and physiology, menstrual cycle regulation, fertility awareness, and sexual health. Offer guidance on safe sex practices, contraception, and preventive measures to reduce the risk of gynecological conditions and STIs. Collaboration and Referral: Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including primary care physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals, to coordinate care and referrals for patients with complex medical needs or multidisciplinary care requirements.
