Job description

Routine Examinations: Performing routine gynecological examinations, including pelvic exams, Pap smears (cervical cancer screening), breast exams, and vaginal swabs to assess reproductive health and detect abnormalities. Prenatal Care: Providing comprehensive prenatal care to pregnant women, including regular check-ups, prenatal testing (such as ultrasounds and blood tests), monitoring fetal development, and managing maternal health during pregnancy. Labor and Delivery: Managing labor and childbirth for pregnant women, including monitoring labor progress, providing pain relief (such as epidurals), performing vaginal deliveries or cesarean sections (C-sections), and ensuring maternal and fetal well-being during the birthing process. Postpartum Care: Providing postpartum care and support to new mothers following childbirth, including monitoring recovery, assessing breastfeeding, addressing postpartum concerns (such as mood disorders), and providing family planning counseling. Family Planning: Counseling women on contraception options, family planning methods, and reproductive health choices. Prescribing and administering contraceptive methods such as birth control pills, intrauterine devices (IUDs), contraceptive implants, and sterilization procedures. Menstrual Disorders: Evaluating and managing menstrual disorders and abnormal uterine bleeding, including heavy periods (menorrhagia), irregular periods, painful periods (dysmenorrhea), and menstrual disorders related to hormonal imbalances or underlying conditions. Reproductive Health Screenings: Offering reproductive health screenings and testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, and human papillomavirus (HPV). Providing counseling, treatment, and prevention strategies for STIs. Pelvic Floor Disorders: Diagnosing and treating pelvic floor disorders, including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and pelvic pain syndromes. Offering conservative treatments (such as pelvic floor exercises) and surgical interventions (such as pelvic floor reconstruction) as needed. Gynecological Surgery: Performing surgical procedures to treat gynecological conditions, including hysterectomy (removal of the uterus), myomectomy (removal of uterine fibroids), ovarian cystectomy, tubal ligation (sterilization), and minimally invasive procedures (such as laparoscopy or hysteroscopy). Gynecological Oncology: Collaborating with gynecological oncologists to diagnose and treat gynecological cancers, including cervical cancer, uterine cancer, ovarian cancer, vulvar cancer, and vaginal cancer. Providing preoperative evaluation, surgical interventions, chemotherapy, and postoperative care for patients with gynecological malignancies. Menopausal Health: Managing menopausal symptoms and hormonal changes in women approaching or experiencing menopause. Offering hormone replacement therapy (HRT), non-hormonal treatments, and lifestyle interventions to alleviate menopausal symptoms and promote long-term health. Patient Education and Counseling: Providing patient education and counseling on women's health topics, reproductive issues, pregnancy care, contraception, sexually transmitted infections, menopause, and other gynecological concerns. Empowering women to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
