Curriculum Development: Designing and developing course materials, lesson plans, and curriculum outlines for graphic design courses. This includes selecting appropriate topics, learning objectives, and teaching methods to ensure comprehensive coverage of graphic design principles and techniques. Instruction Delivery: Delivering lectures, presentations, and practical demonstrations to students in graphic design courses. Using various teaching techniques, such as lectures, hands-on projects, workshops, and critiques, to engage learners and facilitate understanding of design concepts and methodologies. Software Proficiency: Demonstrating proficiency in graphic design software and tools commonly used in the industry, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), CorelDRAW, Sketch, and others. Providing practical instruction and guidance on software usage, techniques, and workflows. Design Theory and Principles: Teaching fundamental design principles, such as typography, color theory, layout, composition, and visual hierarchy. Explaining design concepts, terminology, and best practices to help students develop a strong foundation in graphic design theory. Project Management: Assigning and overseeing design projects, assignments, and exercises to help students apply theoretical knowledge to real-world design challenges. Providing feedback, guidance, and support to students throughout the design process. Critique and Feedback: Conducting design critiques and reviews to evaluate student work, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate peer-to-peer learning. Encouraging students to analyze and reflect on their own work and that of their peers to foster continuous improvement. Industry Trends and Practices: Staying updated on the latest trends, technologies, and developments in the graphic design industry. Incorporating current industry practices, case studies, and examples into course content to ensure relevance and practicality. Portfolio Development: Assisting students in developing their design portfolios by curating and showcasing their best work. Providing guidance on portfolio presentation, organization, and storytelling to effectively communicate students' skills and abilities to potential employers or clients. Professional Development: Supporting students' professional development by providing career guidance, industry insights, networking opportunities, and resources to help them succeed in the graphic design field. Offering advice on job search strategies, resume writing, interviewing skills, and freelancing opportunities.
