Teaching Geography: Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Geography to students at the assigned grade level(s) in accordance with the curriculum requirements. Curriculum Development: Develop and adapt instructional materials, assessments, and activities to meet the diverse learning needs of students and align with curriculum standards. Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to academic growth and personal development. Student Assessment: Assess student learning through various methods such as tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations, and provide timely feedback to students and parents. Extracurricular Involvement: Participate in school-related activities such as clubs, field trips, and events to enrich students' educational experiences. Professional Development: Stay updated on current trends, research, and best practices in Geography education through professional development opportunities and collaboration with colleagues. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Geography or a related field. A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred. Certification: Valid teaching certification/license recognized by the appropriate authorities in Kerala. Experience: Previous teaching experience, particularly in Geography, is desirable. Subject Knowledge: Strong understanding of Geography concepts, including physical geography, human geography, and spatial analysis. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and/or Malayalam, the primary languages of instruction in Kozhikode schools. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to establish rapport with students, parents, and colleagues, and work collaboratively within a diverse school community. Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with educational technology tools and resources for instructional delivery and student engagement.
