Job description

Primary Healthcare: Providing primary care services to patients of all ages, including infants, children, adults, and seniors, and addressing a wide range of acute and chronic health concerns, injuries, and medical conditions. Medical Diagnosis and Treatment: Conducting thorough medical assessments, performing physical examinations, and diagnosing illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions based on clinical findings, medical history, and diagnostic tests. Prescription and Medication Management: Prescribing medications, treatments, and therapies to manage acute and chronic conditions, alleviate symptoms, and promote healing, and monitoring medication effectiveness and side effects. Preventive Healthcare: Promoting preventive healthcare measures, such as immunizations, screenings, and health assessments, to detect and prevent diseases early, reduce health risks, and promote overall wellness and longevity. Chronic Disease Management: Managing chronic medical conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and arthritis, through ongoing monitoring, medication management, lifestyle counseling, and coordination of care with specialists. Acute Care Services: Providing urgent and emergency medical care for acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies, including minor surgical procedures, wound care, and stabilization of critical patients before referral to specialized care. Health Promotion and Education: Educating patients and families about healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention strategies, medication adherence, and self-care practices to empower them to take an active role in managing their health and well-being. Referrals and Coordination of Care: Coordinating patient care with other healthcare providers, specialists, and allied health professionals, and making referrals for specialized diagnostic tests, treatments, or consultations as needed. Counseling and Mental Health Support: Providing counseling, support, and guidance to patients experiencing mental health issues, emotional distress, or psychosocial challenges, and referring patients to mental health specialists or support services as appropriate. Health Record Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, physical examination findings, diagnostic test results, treatment plans, and progress notes, using electronic health record (EHR) systems or paper-based charts. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Communicating effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and colleagues, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and cultural sensitivity, and fostering trust, rapport, and open communication in the physician-patient relationship. Professional Development: Engaging in ongoing medical education, training, and professional development activities to stay current with advances in medical knowledge, evidence-based practices, and healthcare technology, and to maintain licensure and certification credentials.
