Job description

Primary Care: Serve as the first point of contact for patients seeking medical care, providing comprehensive primary healthcare services, including preventive care, acute illness management, and chronic disease management. Medical Consultations: Conduct medical consultations with patients to assess their health status, medical history, symptoms, and concerns. Perform physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and medical assessments to diagnose and treat medical conditions. Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions, including infections, injuries, respiratory illnesses, gastrointestinal disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and mental health conditions. Prescribe medications, treatments, and referrals to specialists as needed. Preventive Care: Promote preventive healthcare measures, including routine screenings, immunizations, and health counseling, to prevent illness, detect diseases early, and promote overall health and wellness. Chronic Disease Management: Manage chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and arthritis through regular monitoring, medication management, lifestyle modifications, and patient education. Collaborate with specialists and allied health professionals to coordinate care and optimize treatment outcomes. Health Promotion: Educate patients about healthy lifestyle habits, diet and nutrition, exercise, stress management, and disease prevention strategies to empower them to make informed decisions about their health and well-being. Patient Education: Provide patient education and counseling on medical conditions, treatment options, medication adherence, and self-care practices. Answer patients' questions, address concerns, and provide resources and referrals to support patient education and empowerment. Emergency Care: Provide emergency medical care and first aid treatment for patients presenting with acute medical emergencies, injuries, or urgent healthcare needs. Stabilize patients, initiate emergency interventions, and arrange for further medical care as necessary. Health Records and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documentation, and patient charts to ensure continuity of care, effective communication, and compliance with regulatory requirements and medical standards. Collaboration and Referrals: Collaborate with specialists, medical colleagues, and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, consultations, and referrals to other healthcare providers or medical facilities. Facilitate communication and information sharing to ensure seamless transitions of care. Community Outreach: Participate in community health initiatives, health promotion campaigns, and public health programs to address local health needs, raise awareness about health issues, and promote health equity and access to healthcare services. Continuing Education: Stay updated on advances in medical knowledge, clinical guidelines, and evidence-based practices through continuing medical education (CME), professional development activities, and participation in medical conferences and seminars.
